Interactive: Into Pakistan, Under the Cover of Darkness - GeoEye Information Services Featured in Article

Based on intelligence first presented to President Obama last August, the United States launched a raid in the early morning hours of Monday in Pakistan on a fortified compound suspected to house Osama bin Laden, the world's most wanted terrorist.


Satellite photos had pinpointed a house and one-acre compound built in 2005. The high walls, barbed wire and pervasive security cameras suggested it was designed as a private fortress.
